If the information about Flipnote Hatena was expanded, it would become much more than a subsection. There are many aspects of Flipnote Hatena (such as history, online accessibility, current ways to access Flipnote Hatena from personal servers, and specific features of Hatena rather than of Flipnote Studio) that are not mentioned or barely described in the few paragraphs concerning the topic. Currently, the Hatena topic is simply a subsection of "Features," but I feel the service deserves a complete article. Support - Hello there! I was also wondering if we should create a separate article for Flipnote Hatena.Perhaps a brief summary of the service would suffice (with a greater emphasis on the Flipnote creation elements of the app), and separate page describing in-depth the Flipnote Hatena community. contribs) Flipnote studio animations format įlipnote Hatena was a big part of Flipnote Studio, but it wasn't technically part of the app.Mario324 ( talk) 20:07 3 April 2011 (UTC) - Preceding unsigned comment added by Mario324 2 ( talk I think these are 50% correct I don't know. I'm starting to think it'll never see an overseas release. I wish they would hurry up and put it on the shop channel because a million people want it. Khisanth ( talk) 20:24, (UTC) Reply Īnd what's up with the "never" on the PAL release date? Nintendo is really annoying me. Even though I think 'moving memo pad' sounds silly too, it's got the hits to back it up. In comparison, 'Moving Notepad dsi' (the only version of the name Nintendo themselves have given us, even though they also acknowledge it may not be their final choice for an English-language release) turns up a mere 5,990 google hits in comparison. 'Moving Memo dsi' turns up 38,900 google hits and 'Moving Memo Pad dsi' turns up 12,700 google hits ('Moving Memopad dsi' turns up only 6,790, and most of them have the space in 'memo pad' anyway). :3 Khisanth ( talk) 16:05, 30 April 2009 (UTC) Reply Ĭool!I'll keep looking for a source. If someone can find something stating a 2009 release (even if a specific date is not provided) and that is a reliable source (they aren't just assuming we'll get it this year), please feel free to update. I went ahead and changed the NA and EU release dates to 'TBA', as 'N/A' implies the title won't be released at all outside of Japan, and I can't even find anything officially stating we'll get the software in 2009. And whoever is changing the date should stop, 'cause it's not funny. They cannot say when they release dsi software for some reason. I would love to be wrong about this (i am so excited for this to eventually be released, really I am) but without a proper source, those dates cannot be added to this article. :( Khisanth ( talk) 21:45, 28 April 2009 (UTC) Reply I cannot find any source confirming these new dates that is not quoting the Wikipedia article itself OR is not quoted as a rumor. Iwata also confirmed that Flipnote Gallery: Friends and Flipnote Gallery: World, the software's paid community service, will be available outside of Japan.Where are these new dates coming from? two days ago people were adding April 27th as the NA release date for Flipnote Studio, and today it's being added as May 11th (with the PAL release date still being added as May 1st). Update: Nintendo released an English language version of the Flipnote Studio 3D Nintendo Direct, confirming a summer 2013 release of the free software. The software released in Japan in December 2008, then in August 2009 for North America, Europe and Australia. The original Flipnote Studio was released for Nintendo DSi as a DSiWare title. Polygon has reached out to Nintendo to see what its North American plans for Flipnote Studio 3D are. The software is not currently announced for release outside Japan. To post animations online through the Hatena World Flipnote Gallery community, Nintendo will charge a small fee and offer a free 30-day trial.įlipnote Studio 3D will be released in Japan through Nintendo's eShop this summer. In Japan, Flipnote Studio 3D users will be able to share their animations with friends registered through Nintendo 3DS for free. The new software will let animators export their work in AVI and GIF format, enabling the easier sharing of Flipnote Studio creations. The downloadable software, Flipnote Studio 3D, will be more powerful than its predecessor and feature new sharing options.įlipnote Studio 3D will support stereoscopic 3D images with up to three layers of depth and artists can now use up to six colors in their animations. Nintendo will release a new version of its Flipnote Studio animation program for Nintendo 3DS, president Satoru Iwata announced today in a new Nintendo Direct.
